[Hippo-cms7-user] How to strip "/site" from url?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone can tell us how to deploy the site without "/site"
in the url.
The situation now is that a user can go to www.myDomain.nl and apache
transforms this into www.myDomain.nl/site. The problem is that all url's
returned from the cms contain "/site" again. Although this works fine from a
technical point of view the customer always wants to have "/site" removed
from the url.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Current apache conf looks like this and wondering if this can ben done in
apache only or also in the Hippo console

         RewriteRule           ^/$  /site/ [R,L]
         ProxyPass             /site/  http://myDomain.nl:10480/site/
retry=1,max=20
         ProxyPassReverse  /site/  http://myDomain.nl:10480/site/

Thanks,
Joffrey
