@jasha, @laurens

My bad! I was testing different forms and because the content is very similar, I was testing in two different browsers with one form having the dateFormat filled in (loaded in browser X) and one form having an empty dateFormat (loaded in browser Y).

In the JSP it’s ${field.dateFormat} however, I am using
<%-- at elvariable id="form" type="org.onehippo.forge.easyforms.model.Form"--%>

Thanks for the reply, time to go to bed ☺

Hi Joris,

the name of the getter is getDateformat [1], not getDateFormat. So ${field.dateFormat} should be ${field.dateformat}

Hi all,

I noticed something very strange.

We created an easyform containing a "date of birth" field, having date
format "dd-yy-mm":

The default jsp we used to render the form works fine in Firefox and Chrome.
But for some strange reason, the ${field.dateFormat} tag is not rendered
(empty) in Internet Explorer browsers, causing the date input field not to
be populated when a date is selected.

- local cache is disabled
- with javascript disabled, the problem is still there
- when I hard code the format 'dd-mm-yy' in the jQuery .ready function, the
date selection works just fine

Below the snippet that loads the datepicker (when viewing source in an IE

Could it be that there is some kind of browser checking happening before the
jsp is rendered?
